DEF - FAQ0001

Q: What is the difference between the “Known risk factor completion” indicator and “Completion of risk factor information” indicator?

A: The “known risk factor completion” indicator provides the percentage of cases where the primary focus of bacteraemia has been completed.

However, the “Completion of risk factor information” is the percentage of associated risk factor fields/questions in those cases with “unknown” data.

It’s worth noting that you can use the data quality dashboard to identify cases where >=1 field(s) have unknown or missing data. For example, using this report you can search for all E. coli cases where the “Number of antibiotic courses prescribed 28 days prior” or “Urinary catheter in the last 28 days prior” has not been completed or has been reported as “unknown”. For further information about this please refer to the Data quality user guide
